Taking five founding clubs for 2027. We work with each one personally.

FAQ, security and switching

The questions that come after the demo, answered in plain sentences.

If something here is not clear enough for your controller, ask. You get the same words back, not a datasheet.

Signing in

The part everybody asks about first.

How can there be no password? Is that safe?

A member’s link carries a random token, not his name and not a guessable number. It names his roster row, it expires, and the shop can switch any one of them off.

What it cannot do is sit in a password database that gets dumped, because there is no password database.

What if he loses his phone, or forwards the link?

The shop mints a new link and the old one stops working the moment it does. One screen, about five seconds. There is no recovery flow, because there is no account.

Do staff sign in the same way?

Yes, and it is one tap shorter. The console link is good for a week; he opens it, presses Enter the console, and he is in, having typed nothing. Face ID is offered under that button rather than in front of it, so the door can live on his phone once the link lapses. Staff roles are per club, granted and removed by that club.

The data

Who owns it, where it sits, who can see it.

Is our club’s data separated from another club’s?

Yes, by the database rather than by careful code. Every club-owned row carries its club, and the database refuses a query that has not said which club is asking.

A cross-club suite runs against a real Postgres on every change and asserts one club can read nothing of another’s.

Do member names and scores end up in Google?

No. Every member screen and league board is no-index, set at the group level so a screen added later inherits it. This marketing site is the only part that asks to be found.

Who at your end can see our members?

Only somebody your club has listed as staff and sent a sign-in link from its own console. That link is good for seven days and for one person, and the club can take it back from the same console.

We never sell, share or broker member data, and there is no advertising in any of it.

One club, one club’s data

Money and books

Where a dollar goes, and where it never goes.

Do you touch our general ledger?

Never. We capture that a member incurred a billable item and hand you a file at period close, in your own system’s import format.

We do not compute balances, age receivables, apply payments, settle or reconcile. There is no paid column and there is not going to be one.

Do you hold any of our members’ money?

No. Nothing moves through us. Charges post on your own billing. No wallet, no custody.

Is any of this gambling?

No, by design and permanently. The software draws the teams, carries the handicaps and keeps the card. We hold no money and settle nothing between members. The pot is the league’s own, run by the shop, and none of it moves through us.

The Ace Pot is the club’s own hole-in-one pool on the club’s own billing. Our fee is flat administration, never a cut, and the payout is the club’s call.

How does pricing work?

Members pay a small software fee, shown as one capped line on their club statement. For the club's side, talk to us.

Pricing is covered on the call.

Starting and stopping

Both are meant to be easy.

Nothing is cut over to start, and nothing is held back if you stop. Keep your books, keep your stack, this bolts on.

Do we have to switch anything off?

No. One layer goes in beside what you already run, you add more when members ask, and the club live today started with league night and kept its tee sheet exactly where it was.

Do we have to change our website?

No. Keep the site you have and link your front door from it, the way a Quick Links row does today. Point your domain at us when you want this to be your site.

What does switching cost us in staff time?

A member list you already export, one conversation about which layers you want, and the shop sending a link. No cutover weekend, because nothing is being cut over.

What happens if we stop?

Your roster, rounds, results and charge history come back as files, and you stop. No term, no notice period, nothing to unwind, because nothing was replaced.

Do our members have to download an app?

There is one, and nobody is made to start there. The link the shop texts him works from the first tap on any phone, with no account and no password. ClubLayer is coming to the App Store for the member who wants the icon on his home screen.

See it now

Ask on the demo form and a person answers.

A short call with Chris comes first. Then the demo shows what your members see.
